This interview with acclaimed resonator guitar (dobro) player Josh Graves begins with a discussion of his background. He talks about his childhood and his interest in music, and what led him to start playing the resonator guitar. Graves also discusses his encouragement of young musicians, including the interviewer Jerry Douglas. Next, Graves talks about his early career, working with musicians such as Wilma Lee, Stoney Cooper, and Mac Wiseman. He then moves on to talk about his time with Flatt & Scruggs and The Foggy Mountain Boys. Graves discusses touring and performances, as well as their work in film and television. He then talks about his work with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs when they played as a solo artists.
