Partial Transcript: Well, I was speaking to these women this week who had been at the women's college and they remember coming to the university for classes.

Segment Synopsis: Hussain talks about classes at Aligarh Muslim University in which women were separated from men by a black curtain that prevented them from seeing the professor. He also talks about his family members who attended Aligarh Muslim University and Aligarh Girls College. Hussain talks about getting to school via bicycle and carriage. Next, Hussain discusses the women in his family and whether or not they wore the traditional dress of conservative Muslims. He also discusses aspects of Purdah, a religious and social practice of female seclusion prevalent among some Muslim and Hindu communities in South Asia.
