Description

In this interview, retired professor of history Lawrence Davidson describes his experiences going to college in the 1960s. He talks about growing up and going to Rutgers University in New Jersey. Then, Davidson explains how he helped bring Students for a Democratic Society to Georgetown University and his activism as a graduate student there. He describes fleeing to Canada in the midst of the Vietnam War and earning his doctorate from University of Alberta. Davidson speaks about returning to America as an adjunct professor and joining the staff at West Chester University. Davidson describes his activism as a faculty member and the books he published. Finally, he talks about his family and what it was like returning after the Vietnam War.
