Description
Sam Laird was born in 1944. He went to Valley Forge Military Academy. He then studied history at university. He graduated in 1966 and joined the army. He signed up to be an officer in the motor pool. Following his training, he spent a year in Virginia then went to Thailand. In 1968 he was ordered to Korat base in Thailand where he was made an officer of personnel men. He was then moved to U-Tapao air base. He left the army after serving in Thailand until 1969. After service, he worked in retail and was a salesman for a heavy duty lock company during the 1980's.
